iBeacon and NFC Being Updated Ahead of iPhone 6 Launch

iBeacon is useful for retail stores to help provide sales information.  The technology is also used to give accurate location data while in-doors.  The upgrades are said to be updating the technology to incorporate NFC capabilities.  Per the report,  if Apple can accurately figure out your location within their store,  it can connect to the customers iPhone for secure mobile payments. A lot of speculation claims both the next generation iPhone and the unannounced wearable will implement this technology.
