How To Prevent a Child or Anyone From Accidentally Purchases in App Store

Stop unwanted purchases with only a few taps of the screen.  It’s really not uncommon to hear horror stories about users being charged thousands of dollars for unwanted in-app purchases or any other type of purchases you didn’t want to happen.   Although, these settings can save your last dollar, maybe.

We have all looked at our bank statements and wondered, hmmm.  How in the #$$% did that happen?  Maybe I’m just being a bit overdramatic but let’s talk about how we can prevent this from happening in the beginning.   First, grab a copy of this ebook to understand better.

Visit App Store Here

The main thing to control what’s being purchased is inside the settings application.  These need to be implemented beforehand or it will not help.

How To prevent iTunes & App Store purchases or downloads:

1. Go to Settings and tap Screen Time.

2. Tap Content & Privacy Restrictions. If asked, enter your passcode.

3. Tap iTunes & App Store Purchases.

4. Choose a setting and set it to Don’t Allow.

You can also change your password settings for additional purchases from the iTunes & App Store or Book Store. Follow steps 1-3, then choose Always Require or Don’t Require.

How To Setup ScreenTime on iPhone, iPad, or iPod

Parents will need to enable  Screen Time.  This allows parents to set up how long and what times the child is permitted to be on their devices.  It’s time for homework after 7 pm.  Therefore, we set up to disable the apps and phone completely from the time we turn it on/off.

Refer to the image below.  See the option at the bottom, “this is My Childs’s iPhone”.  You must choose this option, iPhone for the Childs’s iPhone to set up screen time properly.  It’s very simple to set up and use.  Follow the step-by-step instructions on the iPhone screen as you go through there process.  It will literally walk you through setting up the Childs iPhone in just a few short steps.  Once you have entered the correct info now you will be able to choose which apps can be used or what times even they can be opened and played.  Now, that’s a great way to control content.  We will get into parental controls soon.  Be sure to share this and help others learn too.
