Apple has pushed iOS 8.2 beta 1 to developers today. Alongside this release, is the new WatchKit API which will allow developers to start building applications for the Apple Watch. The beta firmware will be available through Apple’s iOS Developer Center.
The beta release comes only a day after the public release of iOS 8.1.1. This is interesting, because Apple had only one beta of iOS 8.1.1 and has only been in beta for several weeks.
We’re not sure what’s new in the firmware, because we’re downloading the betas ourselves. If you notice any changes, please leave a comment below.
The Apple Watch will be available in 2015, and will start at $349.
