Have you ever found yourself looking for a new secure way to unlock your iDevice? Have you ever wanted to unlock your iOS device using only your voice? Well if you haven’t just yet, here is a tweak that will blow your mind called Acute. Acute tweak was developed by renown developer Phillip Tennen and can be found in BigBoss Repo for $3. Acute can be used anywhere throughout iOS. Although, it’s always listening, it’s designed to conserve battery life.
Acute uses activator gestures for it to work, for example, let’s say you are on an app and you do not want to use your home button because it is broke or you just do not want to touch it. All you have to do is simply say ‘Home’ and it will instantly recognize your voice and exit the app. Since Acute can be used with Activator, this also means that you can perform unlimited number of phrases such as ‘Text Jenni’ or ‘Call babe’ without ever physically touching your phone. Another interesting feature I want to talk about that caught my attention when using this tweak was it’s not limited to only Activator. You can also ask your phone a math problem or any other question and it will answer it. Or say a keyword to bypass your phones security code. Once you get acute installed on your iPhone/iPod touch, you may have to calibrate it. Once that is done, you will get a screen asking you to speak for recognition. Once that is done, you can go into the settings app and change whatever you think is needed (When Acute is installed, you will see a little wave on the top right corner of your status bar)
Acute is not available in the Cydia store just yet, but once it is, you have to go grab it to see this for yourself. This tweak is just genius!
