If your biggest fear of iPhone is the battery life, then you should try out this awesome tweak named Battsaver. This tweak has been updated to support iOS 7. It is available on cydia for $3.99. Now what sets aside this tweak from other battery saver is that it offers various tuning and gives you an insight on what is happening in your iphone.

As usual, the tips to have a long lasting battery is to barely use the phone. These include turning off Wi-FI, bluetooth or even 3G/4G/LTE if they aren’t used. Even using the phone for web surfing, and phone calls can cause drain your battery. However this tweak automatically monitors these battery draining features and make sure you can use them whenever you and at the same avoid the battery getting empty.

Once the Battsaver is installed, the icon appears on the home screen. Battsaver offers various saving strategies that makes the battery last longer. These strategies include: Normal, Aggressive, Ultimate, Custom and iMessage friendly.

There are 5 strategies BattSaver can use to conserve battery life:

  • None :
    • All saving strategies are disabled.
  • Normal :
    • All radios are disabled when you turn off the device and back on when you turn it back on. Each 15 minutes it allows BattSaver to wake up radios to get latest email and notifications.
  • Aggressive :
    • Same as Normal, plus:
      • Each 45 minutes it allows BattSaver to wake up radios to get latest email and notifications.
      • It disables Edge if WiFi is connected.
      • It disables WiFi if no hotspot is detected.
      • It switches to Ultimate mode if battery is less than 15%.
  • Ultimate :
    • It disables all radios when phone is turned off.
    • It does not enable radios when turn on (it up to you to enable the radio you need manually via SBSettings for example).
    • It disables Edge if WiFi is connected.
    • It disables WiFi if no hotspot is detected.
  • Custom :
    • You select which optimizations you want you use.
    • You may choose to always try to enable a radio, when you turn on the device.

If you are not happy with these strategies, you can try the custom setting where you can configure the features and the usage. Battsaver also display information regarding the battery as displaying graphs for battery usage, the current battery capacity, the charge cycles, etc.

I must say, this is a good tweak where it automatically detects which features are draining your battery and disables them before you run out of battery or even before you are late to disable those manually. However, updates are required because some glitches and bugs exist within the tweak.
