Best Tweaks of The Week

It’s once again time for us to share the Best Tweaks of the week. We do these every Sunday in collaboration with Modmyi.com. Be sure to visit them for awesome posts daily and they also have a great Forum for Jailbreak users to get information on any topic imaginable. As we approach warmer weather it seems the developers are thawing so to speak also. Past weeks have been somewhat slow and lacking many top tweaks but as we get closer to Spring and warmer weather I see an increase in better tweaks and more of them.

The first tweak we will discuss is called MoonSilent. It allows users to turn off notifications for incoming phone calls. As we all know when a phone rings its only human nature to glance in the direction of the ringing sound. This could allow others to see who is calling without them really being guilty of trying to see. MoonSilent is a Cydia Tweak available in BigBoss Repo for $1.00 which allows users to disable notification banners on the Lockscreen and Notification Center. It keeps incoming phone calls private by not displaying any information. Users can even disable vibrations if they wish. All these settings are available under the settings menu and can be invoked using an Activator Action.

The second tweak we felt was one of the best this week is called SpringSounds.  It’s available in ModMyi Repo for Free.  It allows users to change sounds for different things such as keyboard sounds, Lock, Photo Shutter, Plug, Received messages or Sent messages.  The tweak comes with32 sounds already preinstalled which users can use to change the sounds of these different features by choosing the preferred sound and respringing.  So it boils down to personal preference.

Our Third tweak for the week is called “You Fade Made Up“.  This tweak is Free in BigBoss Repo.  It adds a bit of animation so to speak to the app switcher when multitasking.  So users can open the app switcher and when they swipe up on any of the cards as they slide the card upward the icon of the card below it will fade out as the card is slide upward.  Give it a try slow to see what we are referring too.

The Fourth tweak for the week is called Digital Clock iCon.  It adds a Digital Clock in place of the clock icon on the home screen.  It’s one of my favorites this week.  Definitely looks better than the Analog Clock icon which comes preinstalled on iOS 8.  Users can download this for Free in BigBoss Repo.  It’s supported on all iOS devices running iOS 7 and later.

Our fifth and final tweak for the week is called ArithmeticAlarm8.  This tweak is available in BigBoss Repo for $0.99.  It adds math problems to the deactivation popup for alarms.  The settings are available under the settings menu where users can choose different types of Arithmetic problems and levels of difficulty.  So if you are a Math lover like myself this could be a great way to get the day started or just make sure you are awake.  It even offers a snooze option but requires users to get a math problem correct to activate too.
