Five Favorite iPhoneography Apps
The new iPhone 4S camera has really been improved with IOS 5. There are many new features on the new iPhone 4S camera such as grid, HDR, and editing the photos, auto enhance and cropping. I am happy that Apple decided to upgrade the camera features of the iPhone 4S. I think many developers will focus their programs around the camera application of the iPhone 4S now. The iPhone 4S camera is an eight megapixel camera with the ability to auto focus and more. Since I have received my iPhone I have been taking many more photos and enjoying iPhone photography much more. Many new
applications are popping up in the App Store daily pertaining to iPhone photography. I have found a few of my favorites that I will share with you here. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. The application I have enjoyed most so far is called Top Camera. Top camera is a photo application for the iPhone. The user must open it separately and take the pictures inside the top camera application. Inside the application there are several features such as, stabilizer, timer, burst, HDR, slow shutter, and more. One of my favorite things of the top camera application is you can take video as well. Many good iPhone photography applications have not included that feature of video and the highest. I’ve never understood why they felt it wasn’t needed.
Secondly, camera + has been around for a while now. It is still at the top of its game. Camera + does a great job by offering many filters and editing features. I think tap tap tap has done a fabulous job with this application. It can be purchased for $.99. I don’t think you can find a better application in the App Store at this time at that price. This is a application I think that should be on everyones iphone that desires to take any Photos. The only drawback to camera + is it doesn’t take video. I hope that in future updates we will see video added to camera + by tap tap tap.
The next application focuses around video. With the release of iCloud by Apple. I think it’s only relevant to add such an application to your preference of applications. With video stream you can save your video is taken on your iPhone in the iCloud. However, it does need a little tweaking and modifying. But I think we will see great things come from this new idea.
Frame by frame is a great application by Joby. It offers many features such as self timer, anti-shake, time lapse, stop motion, tap To focus, and press anywhere. Press anywhere is one of my favorite features of any application. I think all developers need to listen to what consumers and users are saying when they suggest ideas such as this to be added. I think since we are using and purchasing the applications we should have a voice in what we want included. The only problem I have with this application is like many others it doesn’t include video. But the great thing about frame by frame is it’s free.
I enjoy adding filters to all of my photos and videos. So the next application will fit right in here called cartoonatic. This is an application that just simply adds cartoon like features to your photos and can be added to the video as well. That is a great plus to this application. I have really enjoyed adding the cartoon features to my photos and videos to get a funny look from others. This is a free application so check it out in the Apple iTunes App Store.
Camera flash is a new application by ACDSEE you can import your photos inside this application and had filters and effects to them within the application that is the strong part of this. You can brighten and dim your photos as you wish. It has a little scroll bar on the bottom that you can increase and decrease the amount of flat in the photo. This is for photos only it does not include video crack however but do offer some great advice on their website at www.ACDSEE-APPS.com.
This is a growing list and I hope everyone has enjoyed some of my new applications about iPhone photography. Check back often because I plan adding more to the list as more apps are released.
