Previously, we saw a leaked image of the alleged iPhone 6 front panel featuring a larger display and a narrower bezel. However, this time, an image related to the iPad Air 2 has been leaked.
The image shows the front panel of the iPad Air 2 and in addition, you’ll notice that the display has been fixed into the front panel which is different from how the current iPad Air is assembled. This means that the new iPad Air 2 may have a much thinner body than the previous generation iPad Air.
An integrated front display would make room for other components such as a larger battery to improve the battery life which is one of the main factors that buyers consider. However, the current iPad Air model already has a thin body and Apple might not consider reducing it’s thickness more. This isn’t a new thing as Apple already uses integrated front displays in iPhones as well as in the current generation of Macbooks.
The iPad Air 2 is expected to arrive later this year and rumored to feature Apple’s new A8 processor, Touch ID fingerprint sensor and iOS 8 on board.
