NBC just released two Adobe mobile apps for the 2012 London Olympic coverage. If you are an Olympics fan with an iOS device you can watch all 3200 hrs of video on the mobile device itself. The videos will have lots of behind the scenes coverage. If you are like me this is the content I enjoy most.
The apps are free and will be available on iOS apps and the Google Play Store for Android smartphone a d tablet users. They will also support “TV Everywhere” b You will need to authenticate only the first time you log in. If you leave and come back users will not be required to log back into their accounts. The app will authenticate itself when you open it. Adobe explained more about this on their Digital Media Blog.
This is the first time in Olympic history an opportunity such as this has happen. I think many other events will follow the same suit. What are your thoughts? Don’t it seem sorta funny Adobe is using iOS with al the Flash trouble on the iOS devices. HMMMMMMM. Let us know in the comments below.
