Apple finally introduced a lower cost iPhone on Tuesday, the iPhone 5C, in Five different colors white, green, blue, pink, and yellow. The iPhone 5C will be available sept. 13 for pre order and go on sale Sept. 18.
The iPhone will cost users $99 for 16Gb and $199 for 32 GB. Each version will require a two year contract.
The iPhone 5C was targeted at China as well as other countries where the cost of the iPhone isn’t subsidized, like they are in the US.
Recent iPhone have been available at this price range but this is the first time a new iPhone has been available at this price. The normal price was $199 for 16GB sand $299 for 32b GB. I’m glad to see Apple lowering the prices so other users can afford them awesome iPhones and help expand our user bas to many more who couldn’t otherwise afford them.
The iPhone 5C has the same dimensions has the new 5S although the 5C weighs a bit more, due to the plastic housing. The weight of the iPhone 5C is 4.65 ounces and the 5S weighs 3.95. It has a 4 inch Retina Display screen and the same A6 processor as the iPhone 5.
It includes an 8 megapixel camera a new Facetime HD camera. The iPhone 5C will be available in all four major U.S. carriers — Verizon Wireless, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile.
The iPhone 5S comes in gold and will start at thenormal price range of $199 for 16GB and $299 for 32 GB. The iPhone 5S will be running the A7 processor which is twice as fast as the iPhone 5. The new iPhone 5S will be running 64 bit software as well.
Apple Demoed the new iPhone 5S running Infinity Blade 3 which will be available Sept. 18 too. The camera has been upgraded although its still an eight megapixel camera the optics and pixels are larger. It will do burst modes of 10 frames per second.
The iPhone 5S has a new finger printer scanner called the Touch ID which can log you into the iPhone without a password and lets you make iTunes purchases with the touch of your finger.
