As noted on the companies site, the October 16 iPad event will be streamed live. There is no countdown this time, but the site does note the date and time the event will be occurring. Which, according to the image above, will be Thursday October 16 at 10am PST.
The event is expected to showcase the new iPads with Touch ID, Retina HD displays, and an internal spec bump. They’re also expected to unveil an iMac with Retina display, and release OS X Yosemite to the public.
The event should be fairly quiet compared to the iPhone 6 event. The venue is much smaller, and there is no white buildings surrounding the perimeter. That being said, this should reduce the workload for the stream, which would lead to a much smoother stream this time around.
The stream is available on Apple’s website, though we expect the stream to be available to the Apple TV, iOS devices, and Mac computers. Make sure to follow iPhone Captain, as we will be covering the event.
What are you expecting from the event?
