After so many years, Apple has just obtained the approval of the Saudi Arabian government to be able to fully operate in this part of the world. As earlier reported by SAGIA (Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority), Apple has just been given license to operate in the country under its subsidiary name “Apple Saudi Arabia.” With this license, the company is able to market, maintain, and further develop their products throughout the region.
The license makes things official for Apple to finally be able to market in the region. Before obtaining the license, Apple has been relying on third-party resellers throughout the region to provide and sell their products such as iPhones, iPads, Macs, and many more. Additionally, Apple has not been able to maintain such products because of the lack of the approval of the government. As an answer to the request of Apple fans based in the region, the Saudi Arabian government has finally approved Apple’s license.
Despite the approval of the license, there is still unclear news on whether the company plans to put up an official retail store in the region. Further developments on this matter will have to be patiently waited upon until they are released by Apple itself.
