If you listen to a lot of music on your iDevice, Articon is a very simple tweak that can spice up the music icons. When you are listening to a song, the music application icon will be replaced with the song’s artwork.
Articon is a tweak that adds s simple element to your iOS 7 device. When you are listening to a song, Articon replaces the music application icon you are using to listen to a song to the song’s artwork. As you can see in the above picture, the spotify icon has been replaced to the song’s artwork. This tweak supports all music application (like spotify, pandora, rdio, beats) as well as the stock music. Articon is not limited to musics only but also support video applications like NetFlix.
The icon will change on a real time basis. The icon changes in parallel with the songs you are listen and it doesn’t change the icon only once. As you skip through the songs (either skipping or moving to previous song) you will notice that the icon of music application you are using to listen to the media also changes respectively.
Even when the song is being played, the music icons in the App Switcher changes respectively as it does in the home screen.
Installing this tweak adds a preference pane to the Settings menu. From here you can enable or disable the tweak as you demand. You can also choose to enable or disable “Clear Artwork”. The second option “Clear Artwork” prevents the previously played song artwork from changing if it is disabled. When the song is stopped, the respective artwork will still be displayed instead of the icon until you play something different even if song has ended.
Articon is a cool tweak that changes the music’s icon, which is something no other tweaks have offered such functionality. It adds some aesthetic to your music. If you use your iDevice as a media player, then this tweak is a must. If you want to give Articon a try, it is available on Cydia for $0.99. It supports iOS 7. Happy Sharing
