Each week on Sunday we share the Top Five Cydia Tweaks for iOS 8 Devices. This has been an extremely fruitful week bringing a few of the best tweaks we have seen in quite some time. These aren’t listed in any particular oder.
The First Cydia Tweak we feel deserves a place in our line up this week is StatusbarWeather8. This free tweak is available in BigBoss Repo. It adds the current weather and time in the status bar. It includes a graphic which represents the weather. You should be able to see the weather on the status bar in the photo sample above. StatusbarWeather8 uses the current weather shown in the native weather app of iOS. You will need to open your native weather app at least once in order to get this to work properly.The settings for the tweak offers users the option to change the current carrier with the weather. So that will be a decision each user will have to make. Just be sure to open the native weather app and then respring so it can pull in the correct weather details.
Secondly, is my favorite of the week. It’s called Axial Cydia Tweak and its available in BigBoss Repo for $1.50. It’s a quick launch that adds six customizable icons above the ControlCenter. This was just unused space when the control center opens in iOS 8. The developer, Jacob Caraballo saw a great way to utilize that space efficiently so users can open apps directly from inside the controlcenter. You can see in the photo how the six apps are displayed directly above then control center. Inside settings of Axial users can shoos to disable any of these applications or change them to any application installed on the device. It’s an awesome way to improve multitasking even more. I can’t believe Apple developers didn’t utilize this space beforehand.
The third tweak is called ChooseBoard. It’s available in BigBoss Repo for $1.99. It allows users to interact with third party keyboards much better. Users can assign activator actions to evoke third party keyboards at any time needed. This makes enabling or disabling keyboards much faster and easier. The Fourth Tweak included in our line up is called SimpleCenters for $1 in BigBoss Repo. It allows users to take complete control of the ControlCenter and the NotificationCenter. Users can choose exactly what shows in either location. It will add an “x” to notification center which allows users to remove all notifications with one tap of the “x” rather than going through all the hassles in native iOS 8.
Last but definitely not least is new tweak called StickerMe. It allows users to use Facebook stickers from the Facebook messages app inside iMessage app. Many users thoroughly enjoy using those extra large stickers in Facebook messages. By using this tweak users can add them to iMessage app. It’s available in BigBoss For $1.49. Be sure to give it a try and let use know what you think. Users will need to open the Facebook Message application once after installing this tweak in order for it to work properly.
Overall we got some great New Cydia Tweaks which users can benefit from using. Hopefully we will get many more as we go through the year.
