CustomCover is another tweak that allows you to modify and customize your lock screen. CustomCover now gives you the capability to customize the artwork of a particular album or music you are listening to.
CustomCover allows you to theme the song’s artwork that appears on your lock screen. This tweak comes with sets of pre-installed theme that you can use to change the cover of the artwork as you can see in the above picture portraying the 4 different themes. CustomCover works for both the stock iOS 7 music and other 3rd party music application such as spotify and pandora.
As usual, this tweak adds a preference pane to the settings menu where most of the configuration can be performed. From here you select the themes from the “Theme” cell. Tapping on this cell navigates you to the list of 8 themes which includes:
- Blank
- CD Case
- Circle
- Clean
- Default
- Ripped
- Vinyl
- Vinyl Mini
From the “other settings” cell you can configure various options. You can choose to hide the media controls and just display the song’s artwork, disable the blur background when song is played and to display the album artwork as the lock screen wallpaper. Configuring these options, the changes are applied immediately and does’t require you to respring your device.
If you listen to music on your iDevices most of the time, then you should definitely try CustomCover. It simply polishes the artworks that appears on your lock screen and is mere above my satisfaction level. If you want to give CustomCover a try, it is available on Cydia for $0.99. It supports all devices running on iOS 7.
