Free to Play or Pay

People always debate which is better. But the truth is that both have advantages and it’s hard to tell definitely which is better. I personally like to play free to play apps and then later if the developers let you buy a version without ads or extra content I am glad to pay for it.
Free To Play
Games like Mobile Legends, Candy Crush and so on are very addictive. You don’t have to pay in order to play the game and you can play a complete game without any real cash involved. But if you want, you can also pay for some boosters or cosmetics in order to support the developers. Which is really nice.
Pay
Usually, when you pay for an app, you get the whole deal. No content is hidden behind a paywall and you get a finished product. This is very important in order to establish if it’s worth it to pay for an app. However, there are exceptions to this and that can be a bummer. Especially if the app didn’t have free to play version and you had to buy it first.
Best Of Both Worlds
Ideally, an app should have a free to play version and a version that you can buy. You can test the free to play app and if you like it, you buy it and you get some extra features/cosmetics/whatever. But sadly this is very hard to implement and balance. Many developers put too little content in the free to play version and too much content in the paying version or vice-versa.

The good news is that there are actually games where only the free to play version can be enough so the developers don’t make a separate paying version. Or the game is very good even if you paid money.
A Different Approach
There are also games that give you something to work with at the beginning and then if you go out of the stuff, you can buy more of it for real money. For example, I like to play casino games when I’m bored so I search for free slots in order to have some quick fun. I download the iOS App and I get a little bonus so I can test the game for a while. And if I really like the game, I buy extra coins/credits for bigger bets. Last time I had a very good impression about a certain site. I played free slots at slotpark and that’s where I also found the iOS app which was very easy to use and fun.

In conclusion, there are many approaches to free to play and/or pay. But in general, the best way to determine if you want to invest time and money into a game is by playing it for free first.
