HUDE is another tweak that allows you to customize the Volume HUD. Unlike HUD Customizer, HUDE tweak displays the song information on the Volume HUD.
HUDE aims to increase the content appeal and functionality of the volume HUD especially when you are listening to a music.
HUDE short for HUD Enhancer allows you to choose from 2 style of view – modern and classic. The Classic view carries the same basic element as the stock HUD and implements few visual improvement which also displays the song’s artwork when adjusting the volume. The Modern view on the other hand is the main feature of HUDE tweak. It allows you to display the song on the status bar or big as notification bar which also display the song’s artwork.
If you are not listening to a song, both of the view display the stock volume HUD. But with the song being played, the modern view gives you an advantage of media control taps to play or pause, swipe left to skip and swipe right to return to previous song.
HUDE adds a preference pane to the Settings Menu. There are 2 sections, one for the classic view and one for the modern view. In both these section, you can find a toggle for enabling either one of the view but not both (Modern view takes priority over Classic View).
The Classic view doesn’t require much of configuration apart from enabling or disabling the media controls on the Volume HUD by tapping or swiping.
The Modern view is the real deal. You can select the appearance of the notification like bar that appears when you are listening to a song. You can set it to display the songs name and the artwork or you can select to just view the song’s name and appear as small as the status bar. In both of these 2 appearance, you can take advantage of the media controls. You can also choose to display the album artwork and also enable or disable the media controls on demand.
It should be noted, using the modern or classic view will render you from using your iDevices until the HUD is dismissed automatically. At the bottom of the preference pane you can set the delay time for how long the HUD appears on your screen before it gets dismissed.
