Customers who’ve pre-ordered an iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus in the higher 64/128GB storage capacity will have the iLife and iWork suite pre-loaded on their iPhones, according to an internal Apple Retail training document obtained by Dan DeSilva of 9to5Mac.
Since the launch of iOS 7 and the iPhone 5s, Apple has opted to give customers free copies of it’s iWork and iLife suite for both iOS and Mac devices. This includes Keynote, Number, Pages, Garageband, iMovie and iTunes U.
It’s unclear wether or not Garageband will offer in-app purchases or if the app will come pre-loaded with the full version of GarageBand. Hopefully these apps aren’t stock and will be removable at will.
Customers who’ve purchased the entry-level 16 gigabyte model will have to download these suites separately through the App Store.
iPhoto will not be included because the company has confirmed they’ll be stopping development for Aperture on Mac and iPhoto on iOS and Mac devices. In favor of the stock iOS 8 Photos app and the upcoming Photos app for Mac.
The Photos app for Mac will be coming sometime in 2015.
Garageband is one of the apps featured in Apple’s iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus promo video.
iOS 8 on the iPhone 6 Plus includes special landscape features for apps such as the messages and mail applications. Featuring a two-pane iPad-like interface.
