Battery life has been an issue for a long time when speaking of smartphones. One of the best ways to conserve battery life on your iPhone 5S or any other iOS device is common sense. It should be obvious if you play games or surf the internet all day your battery life will be depleted much faster.

Since iOS 7 released many users have complained its battery life isn’t as good as previous iOS versions. That may or may not be true. However, iOS 7 does have many added features other firmwares don’t have which could relate to low battery life.

We have gone through the entire list inside settings to determine what can be done to improve battery life besides NOT USING THE IDEVICE.

iOS 7 brings an added feature to the device which allows it to refresh apps in the background when on Wi-Fi or cellular. To preserve battery power here simply disable background app refresh completely. Be aware this will turn off location services so users will not be able to use Navigation.
