One of the most popular methods of downloading content is through torrent sites. Many users use these methods daily to download anything from music, movies, tv shows, software, and much more. The only downside to using torrents is malware. Users need to definitely use a strict malware software and a VPN. These are topics we will cover in a future post but today we are discussing torrent sites and downloading torrents using iOS devices.
It uses to be only that jailbroken devices could perform such task. However, thanks to a new method known as sideloading and a tool called Cydia Impactor which was created by Cydia owner, Jay Freeman, aka Saurik we can enjoy this kind of applications on non-jailbroken devices. Cydia Impactor has made it a very simple task to load IPA files onto iOS 10 devices and use applications which aren’t allowed in the iTunes app store. Apple currently doesn’t have control of what we can put on our devices. Although, using this method with a free developer account does require the app to be resigned and reinstalled every 7 days. But hey, that beats not being able to load them period.
A couple of the best torrent sites on the internet currently are torlock.com and demonoid.pw. These are definitely worth checking out. Demonoid requires an invite but if you will follow them on Twitter they give them away almost weekly.
iTransmission is the best software or app for downloading torrents. It can even be used to download items from Cydia if you’re jailbroken. Just an overall awesome way to download period.
