iOS 8 came with many great features for enhancing the iOS experience. However, some of the features can be a bit annoying. So we have out together a list of our Top iOS 8 unwanted features and how to remove or disable them. Be sure to share this with all your friends.
Favorites or Recent Contacts above App Switcher – Settings>mail, contacts, and calendars> scroll down to “show in app switcher” TURN TOGGLE OFF and recent contacts will be removed.
Disable Predictive Keyboard in iOS 8 Open Settings > General > Keyboard and turn the toggle to off. This will prevent the Predictive Keyboard from shown g options above your keyboard. In order to get them back just turn the toggle to “On”
Remove the U2 Album Apple gave away for Free on Launch day. Some users were really upset. I just never listened to it but I don’t want it taking up valuable space. Apple released a to which will remove the Album completely. Just click here to be taken to the site for U2 removal. You will have to enter your Apple ID info and the album will be instantly removed. Delete Photos instead of them being transferred to another “Delete Folder” where they are held for 30 days before deleting. This is suppose to prevent users from accidentally removing photos they want to keep. Either way I think its silly. From the Photos App head to “Recently Deleted” Album. Tap “Select” then “Delete All”. At the moment theres no way to disable this function. So this is as close as you can get to deleting photos or not keeping unwanted photos.
Avoid Too Many Quick Reply If you have notifications set to “Alerts” and begin replying to a message, it will be completely, erased if you received another message during the time you are writing the first message. The only way to avoid this is to set notifications to ‘Banners”. This way you can tap the banner or pull down the quick reply. Go to Settings > Notifications > tap each app listed and choose “Banner” style. If you don’t receive lots of messages close together this may not be a pressing issue. However, just be aware it can happen and what you can do rot fix it.
Disable “Hey Siri” Feature Maybe you work next to several other Apple lovers. Most users have a charging block and cord at work and home too just to be safe. Once your iOS 8 device is plugged in “Hey Siri” can be summoned anytime. Even while your out of the office briefly for a restroom break or something. Are you getting the idea now? Just to be safe I would disable this feature. This can very easily be done by going to Settings > General > Siri > Turn off “Hey Siri” toggle.
