How To Setup Handoff on OS X Yosemite and iOS 8
Apple has made the integration of iOS and OS X much better with the release of iOS 8 and Yosemite. It’s really awesome able to start doing things on one device and finish it on the other. We are going to share the correct method for using Handoff today.
Requirements before using Handoff
- The Mac and iOS Device must be on same WiFi connection
- Bluetooth and Wifi needs to be enabled on both devices
- Be signed into the same iCloud account on both Mac and iOS
- HandOff will not work if Safari is in private mode
- How to Setup Handoff on Yosemite and iOS:
- On the Mac Go to System preferences > General and click allow handoff at the bottom
- On iOS 8 Device go to Settings > General and enable Handoff
- Open Facetime on Mac open preferences inside FaceTime and check allow iPhone calls box
- How to check Handoff is working
- Open a new web page in safari on iOS device, you should get a bouncing icon on the Mac beside the dock on left side. This allows the Mac users to open same page by tapping this icon.
- When you open a web page on the Mac you should get an icon on the lock screen at the bottom left side. This allows the iOS user to open same page as Mac user on the iOS device by tapping the icon on there lock screen.

I littarly did all of these things.. but still no hand off.. text forwarding is working, as well as calling, but I can’t get the hand off function to get to work..
try restarting both computer and iOS device. Bluetooth on both must be enabled
