Share Anytime is an interactive whiteboard with massive capacity for group collaboration of over 100 simultaneous users – and all this in vector graphic visual interaction. The app also acts as a group PDF annotation tool. The meeting chair can import any PDF, and the group can collectively annotate and add to the document (even adding blank pages between the original PDF) then save the whole thing to another PDF to be distributed. The app really acts like a massive group mashup tool. Meeting owners can import content from WORD, Powerpoint, Excel or other PDF documents and bring in photos, graphics etc and draw or note around all of them and make a whole new document. To enhance group communication, there is also includes a handy chat feature where up to 100 meeting participants can interact during the meeting without interrupting the presenter.
Meeting chairmanship can be passed around during the session in real time so groups can present to each other. Share Anytime has its own cloud storage called Digital Cabinet. Every session is automatically saved and can be tagged and organized as needed. This means there is always a digital record of the meeting session for referencing later. But Share Anytime also supports other popular cloud storage like Google Drive, Evernote and Dropbox too.

The iPad has been helping people with presentations since its release. However, equipped with the new application Sharetime by MetaMoji, users can create documents, drawings, and import photos in real time and mark on them however they please. It’s truly a presenters dream application. Rather than simply conducting static presentations, meeting owners can get feedback from the audience in real time. Meeting owners can even permit dozens of people to sketch, draw, handwrite and contribute to the document as needed.
Share Anytime includes several different pens for writing and a built in library filled with symbols. Users may choose to draw in freehand or even use the handwriting feature to convert their handwritten input to text if needed. Photos can be imported into the document and resized and moved wherever needed. With vector graphics, the resolution is always high quality no matter how much you zoom into the document.

Share Anytime users may invite others using different generation iPads. This doesn’t effect the way the application performs in any way. With the free version of Share Anytime users can attend limitless meeting sessions, but to lead meetings there are only 10 meeting sessions provided in the free version. Following the trial, if users want to lead more meetings, they can upgrade to the Share Service subscription for a discounted $1.99 per month (down from $7.99).
Being a teacher for fifteen years I can see how this application could be used on a daily basis in the classroom. Teachers could use this application in their lessons but it would also be a great way to introduce the students to technology. The students could present their work to the class in any subject. However, this would be a great tool for teaching Mathematics and having the class present their work in real time. Students who normally don’t like participating would be intrigued by this and begin participating.
Overall, this application is a valuable tool for many different areas. One of the only draw backs I experience while using this application was having to sign up with two places to get the app running. Although, its a minor inconvenience I feel the developers can find a way to get the application to work otherwise.
Share Anytime works on any iPad running iOS 5 or greater, regardless of which generation the users has. Feel free to share your thoughts below in the comments.
