The introduction of Apple Pay last month led to it being used by over 220,000 stores throughout the country. Some of the stores that have started to accept this new payment option include Apple Stores, Aeropostale, McDonald’s, Nike, Radio Shack, and many more. Through this payment option, iOS users get to experience the convenience of being able to pay for their purchases through their phone and without a credit card. Apart from being adapted as a payment option by some of the world’s famous clothing establishments and other stores, Apple Pay was also used by Staples as a way for their customers to make purchases. If that’s not all, Apple Pay is now available for users to find a parking space and book it at a discounted rate.
SpotHero is an app that was created by a Chicago-based startup company that now accepts Apple Pay mobile payments. Through this innovative app, users are able to have a way of finding parking, comparing rates, and even booking a spot at a discounted rate of up to 50% off the drive-up rate for parking. What its developers have created is to gather unsold parking spaces from establishments and negotiate a special rate with them. They then offer these unused parking spaces to consumers at a discounted rate so they can get savings on their parking needs.
As of date, SpotHero iOS app is the only parking app that supports Apple Pay as its payment solution. The app currently covers metropolitan areas such as New York, Washington, Chicago, Philadelphia, Boston, Baltimore, Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Denver, New Orleans and Newark.

With the development of SpotHero, drivers are able to get the help they need when it comes to a busy day.
