Three Horse Racing Games You Should Be Playing
Have you ever had dreams of owning, training, and riding your very own race horse? This is easier said than done, considering that horse racing, besides being one of the most lucrative competitive sports there is, is also the most dangerous. Ok, that’s settled, still… just because you might not necessarily have the kind of resources it takes to train these beauties, let alone ride one, it doesn’t mean you should stop there.
Welcome To The World Of Simulation Gaming
See, simulations were originally meant to mimic real life situations on screen. Further advancements have long since enabled the simulator to be manipulated. Hence, the major difference between this and your Xbox console is that real life simulations offer that true to life feel that has only been adapted upon and slightly improved on by the modern consoles.
We have compiled a list of games we think every race horse gamer ought to check out this year.
1. Starters Orders 6

This release comes with all the features of a fully interactive racehorse game, including lush 3D graphics. This is the latest installment in a long line of Starters that have been keeping horse racing games fans strapped for over 15 years. Noted improvements are UW mode (ultra wide), meaning you can enhance the resolution of your PC to ‘fit to screen’ and this won’t in any way affect the graphic quality i.e. it won’t pixelate.

You pretty much get to be a breeder, trainer, owner, and racer of your own stable of horses. Cross different types of steeds and compete in breathtaking 3D environments with race tracks in many real time world famous locations in the US, United Kingdom, and just about anywhere else in the world. Plus the tracks are realistic and you might think you are actually racing in the GrandNational Club 2017, despite the fact that it’s a simulation.
Credits acquired from races can be used to make addition to your stables from the shop. If you have enough, you can even look up the betting options to multiply your wins. Single player option allows you to try out your horse breeds with game’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) for extensive training. Tracks have been customized to include dirt and turf tracks.
The interactive part has also been enhanced with tones of background bogies that go into building on the believability of Starters Orders 6. A real race fan will appreciate the work that has gone into this piece to get even the most hard core horse racing fan pounding away on the keyboard.

The challenge is basically the Derby Cup challenge that comes equipped with all the activities expected in a real Derby race. Credit boosts are accrued in pretty much the old fashioned way of scooping them up as you gallop your way through the amazing 3D constructed environment.
Collected coins can be used to purchase jockey uniforms and the likes. The races are so factually based that a mistimed jump can actually cause both horse and rider to go toppling down to the ground. Features like this and many more all go into making this game a must have for any self professing race horse gamer.
It can be downloaded free from Windows store and is available also for mobile androids with all the same features as in the PC version.
3. Online Horse Racing Games

These games do not disappoint in this genre. The games are usually from the same publisher and are supported by the developers on their site where one can download a copy for a phone, play online, or get a PC friendly version for your computer. One can find them in flash mode on different online games websites.

The interactive bit of the game has definitely been revised from previous versions where a player, after choosing a breed or otherwise training their champ racer, can either battle the game’s AI or better yet take on another logged in player from any part of the world.
It definitely brings race horse gamers together with this little extra. Graphics are polished and very realistic, tourneys and races included. Hands free options are also available where racers train, breed, and pick the course then sit back and watch whether all that hard work has paid off.
