It’s already been a busy year for Apple. The Apple Watch is only a matter of weeks away and has got fans incredibly excited with its 38 watches landing in April, but the excitement continues later in the year with not one, not two, but three new iPhone releases.
Of course, we’ve come to expect one land in September, after all it’s happened every year since the iPhone 5, but it seems Apple are going two better this year, with the California-based brand releasing natural successors the 6S and 6S Plus, with potential for a 6C also on the horizon.
The iPhone 6 has been a huge success since landing last September, selling over 10 million devices in the first three days of sales, whilst the first quarter of 2015 saw the brand have their best sales ever, shifting 74.5million units.
It’s continuing to revolutionise the mobile market, particularly with gaming as the bigger screens and higher quality iOS 8 meaning we’re getting closer to console standard than ever before. And with a vast range of games too. From poker to puzzles, and shoot’em ups to betting on the horses.
Big name brands are continuing to develop their apps further with the likes of Paddy Power and William Hill telling Free Bets during Q&As that mobile devices have been a major influence in today’s market.
Three more iPhones is only going to extend that, right across industries.
Rumours are suggesting that the 6S devices will contain an all new A9 chip which will see it the most powerful Apple device yet, whilst the 6C will stick with the A8, a processor which has been widely praised since landing in September.
That’s on top of all three coming equipped with LTPS panels courtesy of Japan Display, LG, and Sharp, as well as fingerprint scanning technology, already a feature on the iPhone 6.
Although, maybe the 7 could also be on its way. It’s unlikely the brand will skip releases of a 6S or C but some analysts are predicting we may see it sooner rather than later.
That’s expected to come with waterproofing, wireless charging, and a whole host more revolutionary features, not least the potential for a home button joystick.
That’ll certainly take gaming to the next level, and one thing is for sure, we’ll be counting down the time on our Apple Watch waiting for that to happen!
