Apple’s App Store is massive, but it doesn’t have everything. That’s where sideloading comes in. With sideload apps, you can install tools, emulators, and utilities that Apple might not officially approve but that offer incredible functionality.

In this post, I’ll share the 10 most popular sideload apps for iPhone in 2025, where to find them, and how you can install them safely.

What is Sideloading?

Sideloading simply means installing apps on your iPhone outside of the App Store. You’ll need a third-party installer or a computer tool like AltStore or Sideloadly. These let you sign and load apps using your Apple ID.

How to Install Sideload Apps

  1. Download AltStore or Sideloadly (both free).
  2. Connect your iPhone to your computer.
  3. Sign in with your Apple ID (it’s safe, but you can make a burner Apple ID if you want extra privacy).
  4. Drag and drop the .IPA file (the app file) into the installer.
  5. Trust the developer profile on your iPhone by going to Settings > General > Device Management.

That’s it—you’re ready to enjoy apps Apple won’t let on the App Store.

Top 10 Sideload Apps for iPhone

1.

Delta Emulator

The most popular Nintendo emulator for iPhone. Play NES, SNES, N64, and Game Boy titles right on your device. Seamless save states and controller support make it a fan favorite.

2.

iTorrent

A native BitTorrent client for iOS. Simple, lightweight, and integrates with Safari downloads. Perfect for those who manage torrent files on the go.

3.

Kodi

The legendary media center app. Stream movies, music, and even live TV from a variety of add-ons. With sideloading, Kodi becomes your pocket media hub.

4.

Spotify++

A tweaked version of Spotify with unlimited skips, improved playback controls, and offline downloads (without a Premium account). A must-try for music lovers.

5.

YouTube++

Block ads, play videos in the background, and download clips directly. Once you use YouTube++ you’ll wonder how you ever lived without it.

6.

Filza File Manager

A powerful file manager for iOS. Access system files, manage documents, and customize your device at a deeper level. Great for advanced users.

7.

GBA4iOS

An old but gold Game Boy Advance emulator. Smooth performance and built-in cheat support make it a nostalgic powerhouse for retro gamers.

8.

Provenance

An all-in-one multi-console emulator. Supports Sega, PlayStation, Nintendo, and more. If you want just one app for all your retro gaming, Provenance is it.

9.

Taurine Jailbreak

Not exactly an app—but a jailbreak tool. It gives you full control of your iPhone, letting you customize themes, icons, and system functions that Apple locks down.

10.

Odyssey Jailbreak

Another popular jailbreak option with full tweak support. Odyssey is lightweight, stable, and still updated for modern iOS versions.

Tips for Safe Sideloading

  • Always download from trusted sources (I’ve linked the official or most reliable sites above).
  • Avoid pirated apps—they can include malware and risk your Apple ID.
  • Renew your sideloaded apps every 7 days with a free Apple ID, or up to a year with a paid Apple Developer account.

Final Thoughts

Sideloading unlocks the true potential of your iPhone. Whether you’re into retro gaming, advanced file management, or simply want to skip YouTube ads, these apps expand your device far beyond what Apple allows.

Take it slow, experiment, and enjoy the extra power in your pocket.
