As 2015 arrives analyst are trying to understand consumer demand for the upcoming Apple Watch. A new report from Gene Munster of Piper Jaffray (via AppleInsider) suggests that 7% of iPhone owners currently plan on buying an Apple Watch.
Munster suggests that consumers are taking a “wait and see” approach to the Apple Watch. He expects the watch will have a higher demand as the release date gets closer and as Apple releases more information regarding the device.
Munster says the Apple Watch will arrive in Q2 of 2015, towards the end of the “early 2015” timeframe. “We continue to believe the Watch can be an important product for Apple, but expect first year sales to be modest,” Munster writes.
