As iOS 8 came out two days ago, many new user interface changes came along with it. In this post we are going to be looking at some of the coolest, most appelealing features iOS has to offer us this time around.
Interactive Notifications
This is one of my favorite features of iOS 8. Apple made replying to text messages, archive or trash for mails, decline/accept for calendar invites and so on easy. Interactive Notifications will be really useful when you want to quickly reply to a message without leaving the current app, or when you like a Facebook comment.
Control Center
The Control Center has a new look for iOS 8. The only slight difference here is the black border around the icons is gone, and the active state of a toggle is represented by a white background.
Quickly send recent photos
In iOS 7 and earlier, it was exhausting to go back and forth attaching multiple pictures in a single message, but now with iOS 8’s workflow, it takes less taps to attach any file. To select a photo message all you have to do is click on the small camera to your left and choose whichever file you want to send.
Mail swipe for Quick Actions
In the iOS 8 Mail app, you can now swipe to your left to delete, mark, or flag a message or swipe to your right to mark a message as unread.

Widgets
Until now, Apple has kept strict controls on how apps , other than its own, appear on the iPhone and iPad. Basically, they get a tiny, uniformly sized box for each app, and that’s that. But in iOS 8, it has given developers the ability to create widgets for the devices.
Now, they’ll be able to create simple, standalone tools for things like checking the weather or monitoring data usage.
Third-party keyboards
Finally typing made easy for iOS users! This is one of Apples biggest steps in the history of features in iOS. Instead of just typing and taking a longer time, all you have to do now is swipe for letters to make words. Popular keyboards are Swype, Flesky, Swiftkey, TouchPal, and Minuum.

iCloud Drive
iCloud Drive allows you to browse, edit, and share files across different Apple devices, similar to cloud services like Dropbox and Google Drive. However, it will not sync up with your Mac until Apple rolls out its OS X Yosemite operating system update later this fall, so users may want to wait until then to opt into iCloud Drive.
