Apple has announced the new iPad Air 2 and its awesome. Buyers can order them now on apple.com. The new iPad Air 2 which we will refer to as iPA2 for easier reading. It is currently available on Apple’s site with free shipping at this time. However, orders will not ship until next week. But hey its friday so its almost next week. The iPA2 has impressive specs so check some of those out. It’s thinner than the previous model and a regular #2 pencil. It weighs in at just under a pound at 0.96 pounds. Buyers can choose from the same configuration lineup as the iPhone 6. However, they have eliminated the 32 GB option but prices haven’t changed for the larger model which is awesome.
Display
It has a backlit LED widescreen with multi touch ID iPS technology. The new iPA2 has a resolution of 2048 x 1536 and 264 ppi. The display comes with a fingerprint coating, laminated, and anti-reflective coating.
Chip
It has an upgraded A8X processor which makes it much faster than previous versions.
Camera
8 mp rear camera with autofocus, burst mode, timer, and geotagging. It’s capable of recording 1080p video. Slo Mo(120 fps), Time lapse video,and much more
Front Camera 1.2 MP with 720p capability and HDR photo and video with burst mode and timer
The new iPA2 has updated WiFi service for much faster download speeds. Users can also enjoy the bluer tooth 4.0 connectivity.
It offers a new sensor for detecting barometer. Developers will enjoy adding features into their new applications for using barometric readings. Users may also enjoy sharing photos and videos with friends through Airplay on the Apple TV or using the VGA adapter sold separately for mirroring with lightning digital AV connectors.
Siri the intelligent assistant is available on the iPA2.
Battery and Power
Up to 10 hrs of battery life for watching video, or listening to music.
