Back in February last month, Tim Cook visited Turkey to meet with the Turkish President, Abdullah Gül, ahead of the Apple Store opening in Istanbul. Now, the Istanbul Apple Store is set to open in Turkey next week with Tim Cook and Turkish President, Abdullah Gül, attending the grand opening.
According to a Turkish blog, Webrazzi, the Apple retail store is located in Istanbul’s Zorlu Center Shopping Center will be opened at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 5, 2014. The announcement comes in the form of emails sent to customers in Turkey as well as banners placed around the store. The covers on the door of the store were removed with banners saying “We will be there on April the 5th”.
The store will have many of the common features of a typical Apple Store and in addition, the store will have unique features such as Genius Bars, two floors filled with products, a family floor and a sales floor.
