It seems like the feud between Apple and Samsung is far from over, with recent developments turning to Apple seeking a permanent injunction against the infringement of its patents on any Samsung device.
This patent infringement case includes devices which were highlighted on the latest court case, as well as “software or code capable of implementing any Infringing Feature, and/or any feature not more than colorably different therefrom”. This means that Apple pushes ban on the sale of current and future devices manufactured by Samsung.
With the success rate Apple has had over its injunctions against Android OEMs, there is a huge chance that this new case will not push through. Especially since Judge Lucy Koh has been hesitant about granting either party a major win comparative to the other, this is something that might take a while. Not to mention, the appeals courts is being less friendly to both.
Last week, Apple and Google have both agreed that they will no longer be fighting one another in court. Will the fight between Samsung and Apple be resolved in the same manner as well? How long will the dispute between these two companies last? What do you think? Let us know in the comments below!
