Earlier today, Apple released an iOS update that fixes the errors that users complained about when it launched iOS 16. Additionally, the software update also takes care of the bugs that iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max users experienced when they first got their phones.
The iOS update, iOS 16.0.2, addresses several issues that have plagued users since last week. And thankfully, Apple has listened to their complaints and acted upon them right away.
The iOS 16.0.2 change log addressed the following problems:
- A bug that affects iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max camera and causes it to vibrate and take blurry photos when shooting with a third-party app
- A bug that triggers a permission prompt to appear more times than usual on a copy and paste action
- A bug that causes the display to appear black while setting up a device
- A bug that causes touch input to be unresponsive on certain iPhone 11, iPhone X, and iPhone XR displays after getting serviced
- A bug that causes VoiceOver to be unavailable after rebooting
Camera Shaking Issue
The iOS update finally takes care of the camera ‘shake’ problem that many users have complained about on their new iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. The issue affected users who used their rear camera to take photos on apps like TikTok, Snapchat, and several others.
Most of the people who reported experiencing the bug said that the camera was vibrating, which caused the camera lenses to shake. As a result, users get a blurry photo.
When the issue first arose, many affected users were afraid that their devices were faulty. But Apple assured these users that the problem was a software issue and not the device’s hardware. And true enough, Apple has released a new iOS update to address the problem.
Copy-Paste Issue
The other issue that the update fixes is the excessive prompts that pop up whenever users try to copy-paste content between apps. When complaints about this issue started, Apple said that the prompts were happening more frequently than they originally intended.
Thankfully, Apple has decided to address this issue right away.
