Rumors suggest that Apple is preparing to launch two variants of the iPhone 6, one with a 4.7 inch display and the other with a much larger 5.5 inch display. The iPhone 5c and the 5s were released at the same time last year however past reports suggest that the problems faced with the larger screen’s battery life and display technology will prompt the company to launch both the variants at different times later this year.
A report coming from Chinese source, Laoyaoba, suggests that Apple has resolved the battery issues of the 5.5 inch iPhone 6 as it has partnered with a Chinese manufacturing company named Sunwoda Electronics in order to produce 20 million units of batteries for the device. In addition, the company’s major battery supplier, Dynapak, will help for the poduction while the Taiwanese-based company has been unable to keep up with demand.
The report also indicates the Apple is looking to produce 20 million units of the 5.5 inch iPhone 6 model by the end of this year. The iPhone 6 is rumored to be powered by a faster A8 processor, an improved camera with OIS capability, a thinner body and a change in design such as rounded edges, re-positioning of the lock button etc.
