I recently read an article in “The Sun”, tabloid that Apple was trying to figure a way to disable camera on the idevice at live events. This would be things such as concerts. Rumor has it that they file patent on the idea back in 2009. What will they come up with next. I can actually see Apple attempting to do this. Apparently they are going to use the technology that is associated with detecting where your location is based on the idevices location. They would supposedly deactivate the idevice when you came within a certain range of the event taken place.
I just don’t see how this could ever be tolerated. I think Apple has gotten completely carried away with trying to govern our ability to use our phones or idevices however we see fir. These are our devices Apple and we paid for those services when we bought the device. The camera and video was a big selling factor when I bought my device. I do see how they could figure out how to do this. I just think so many people would walk away that Apple won’t risk the loss of the amount of revenue they would lose due to this lack of being able to video or take pictures however you want too. I mean this would prevent people from taking video or pictures of each other or family while inside a certain domain. Apple I have two words. “BACK OFF!!!!!!” AND THAT’S SAYING IT THE NICE WAY.
