Earlier, we showed you the alleged images of the upcoming iPhone 6 silicon cases featuring round edges. Now, another alleged image of the iPhone 6 with a 4.7 inch screen has been shared by Macitynet featuring most of the rumored design changes.
The physical mock up of the upcoming iPhone 6 displayed above showcases the power button on the side of the device, instead of the top, allowing the device to be easily locked. In addition, it features rounded edges as expected along with a thinner body and a round flash.
These dummy models is believed to be created by case manufacturers in order to test and accurately design their cases before Apple releases the iPhone 6. This will allow them to release the cases for the iPhone 6 right on the day that the device goes on sale. According to the source, these mock up models of the iPhone 6 have been redesigned over and over again in order to closely resemble the iPhone 6.
In practice, this model would be made molds of the latest cases and tested the prototypes of the enclosures to verify their compatibility with the real iPhone 6. It is not uncommon that during the process of engineering accessories manufacturers are forced to progressively refine their plans, as they come under the table information on the specifications of the phones.
