The much anticipated movie Batman, The Dark Knight Rises, opened earlier today in the morning hours. Many movie goers in Aurora, Colorado thought they would get the jump and watch the movie first. Unfortunately, a masked gunman hurled a teargas canister into the crowd before starting to shoot. Before the tragedy ended twelve were reported killed and thirty eight others wounded in the attack. No one knows why he decided to attack the crowd at the movie opening.
Colorado hasn’t been a stranger to this type of tragedy. In 1999, two students opened fire at the Columbine high school killing twelve students and a teacher. Either way we need to keep this community in our prayers.
