How To Jailbreak iOS 10.2|10.1.1|10 Using Yalu102 Forever
One of the downsides to the Yalu jailbreak was the fact you had to run Cydia impactor every seven days. The reason for this was, Apple allows ordinary users to load any application they choose onto their devices and use it for seven days. This is helpful for any developers or persons trying to build an iOS app. It allows them to see how the app looks on the device and functions without the need to buy a developer account.
Apple developer account cost $99 per year at Apple. Developer accounts allow apps to be loaded for 365 days before running expiring. Apple issues a profile for each app loaded onto a device during the development process. This allows Apple to keep track of the number of apps loaded and just overall analytics for their applications. These numbers are essential for tracking applications downloads and how much users are looking at the app and so on. But it also limits users who are trying to load apps permanently.
That’s where the issue of the seven-day limit effects the Yalu Jailbreak. When users load the Yalu app onto their devices to Jailbreak, Apple adds this provisional profile that says it may only run seven days unless they are a developer. Now if they are a developer it will run the full year.
Hopefully, with all that explained you better understand why the seven days is even an issue. Now different developers are creating apps from developer accounts which allow the Yalu102 jailbreak to run 365 days or one year. That’s the reason we refer to this type of jailbreak as semi-tethered. Because you still have to attach the device to the computer ever seven days to reinstall Yalu102 App.
As most of you know, Saurik has implied on a couple different occasions that there would be a release of o tool to fix this issue. He even stated in his most recent comment on Reddit, that it was almost complete. Now, apparently is version or definition of almost differs drastically from mine. But hey, if this happens we will definitely be grateful. What I can’t understand is due to the amount of money this kind of tools Brin why someone would work around three clock to complete. But I’m just an old hillbilly ex-school teacher. Maybe, we will see this tool sooner than we think. Let’s hope anyway for all our sakes.
You may think this has been entirely too long to say what needs to be said but I wanted to clear the air about what different things meant and try to end all of the confusion floating around.
The process for getting around the seven-day issue will involve changing the date. Now if you have been in the Jailbreak community you have seen these type of things done many times. Especially when it comes to installing emulators and ROMs.
I recommend installing a tweak called CertRemainTime to know when your profile will run out in order to be ready for the next steps for changing the seven-day signing period to forever. This is a workaround and must be done each time the certificate expires. It’s not something you do once the first time you jailbreak and forget about.
Jailbreak iOS 10 using Yalu102 Forever
Step 1. Before the profile expires and you are still jailbroken open up settings > general > date & time turn this option off for auto.
Step 2. Manually change the date to the next day after the Jailbreak app, Yalu, was signed. For example, if you signed the Yalu app February 25 you need to set your date manually to February 26, 2017. expires.
Step 3. You can wait for the certificate or profile to expire or you can just turn the device off and on. As you know this requires you to rerun the Yalu102 app to get back into a Jailbroken state. After the power of the device, you will need to run the YaluApp. But before you do, be sure to complete the next step first.
Step 4: Once you change the date of the device you can now open the Yalu102 App without issue. Now simply tap, “go” and start the jailbreaking process. Be sure to complete steps 1-3 before this step will work properly. If you get an error when you tap “go” just try again. This seems to happen sometimes for no reason.
Step 5: After Yalu102 completes its process open CertRemain
Time. It will tell you how long you have before the cert ends. You should have around 365 days showing. In the should you see seven days you know you haven’t done something correctly with changing the dates? If you need to start over just turn the device off to end the cert time.

[…] It’s now possible to sideload iOS apps without the need to purchase a $99/year developer account. Apple now offers all the opportunity to load iOS Apps onto their devices for seven days. The new sideloaded app will work fine seven days before the profile is revoked by Apple. Limiting the Apps to seven days is how Apple persuades users to purchase the $99 developer account. However, if you still wish or need to purchase a developer account you may do so here for $99 per year. It comes with several perks such as the first released to all the betas if that’s something you enjoy and signing apps for one year instead of the seven-day period allowed using this method. Fortunately, we recently discovered a workaround to this for the Yalu102 Jailbreak for iOS 10.
