Apple has recently updates its video creation app called Clips. The newly updated iOS app now comes with improvements to sharing, Live Titles, and many more. With this version, you can easily edit a Live Title text by simply tapping on it. The update also includes contact suggestions so you no longer have to type in the address of a friend you frequently send a clip to.
This app is, in no doubt, Apple’s take on the popular video sharing apps like that of Instagram and Snapchat. But since it’s currently only available for iPhone and iPad users, Android users are missing out its neat features. There is, however, a way for Apple device users to share their content with their friends on Android devices. Here are a few ways you can share your content:
Through Email
- Open the Clip you wish to share
- Tap on the Share icon found on the bottom right corner > Mail
- This will open the Mail app with the Clip file you wish to use attached to the mail in .mov format. All that’s left for you to do is to enter the email address of your recipient, add in a subject, and press send.
Through Google Drive
If you’re using Google Drive, you can also use this tool to send your Clips (and also to backup the file).
- Open the Clip
- Tap on the Share button > Copy to Drive
- The Drive app will open and will ask you to confirm if you want to save the Clip. Affirming this will let the Clip be uploaded onto your Drive account where you can use to attach it to emails or directly send as a link.
Through Messages
You can send your Clips through Messages.
- Open the Clip
- Tap on the Share button > Messages
- Enter the phone number you wish to send the Clip to before sending.
Through WhatsApp
You can also send the Clip through WhatsApp.
- Open the Clip
- Tap on the Share button > Import with WhatsApp
- Choose a recipient from your list before sending the Clip.
There you have it– you have successfully sent in your Clips to your friends who are using an Android device.
