How To Use SHSH2 Blobs to Downgrade iOS 16 to iOS 15
Two items are needed for a downgrade
- Mac or Windows PC running latest version of iTunes
- Lightning Cable for connection
SHSH2 Blobs is a long list of hexadecimal numbers which Apple uses to assign each device a unique code only for that device. Think of it as the devices personal signature.
By saving your blobs you are able to downgrade after Apple has stopped signing the shsh2 blobs for the firmware you are trying to downgradse.
Step 1. Connect your iOS devices to the PC or Mac running iTunes.
Step 2. Locate the ECID and model identifier. Simply copy and paste these digits so you have access later.
Step 3. Convert the ECID to Hexadecimal. Click here to convert your ECID to hexadecimal
Step 4. Download SHSH2 blob saver here from iConan. Try to get the latest version you can see. Go to the Reddit section here too learn more in-depth on the SHSH2 blob saver. The site will automatically save your blobs and you can return and use them later for downgrading or restoring.
Now if you are downgrading you will need the ipsw file for your firmware. Check out the list of ipsw files here.
This may seem a bit extensive but take each step and its not to bad.
