Recently, the iOS Jailbreaking community suffered a substantial setback. In April, Apple had an official release of their iOS 9.3 update and the users who employ jailbreak devices made by the company expected that the same will encompass their smartphones and other gadgets. However, the bad news ended up that they will have to be patient until the iOS version 10 becomes fully available. This was received with dismay in many quarters of the same community, who was already accustomed to bad news from the tech giant. But, it seems that not many expected that iOS 10 will have to be waited for, especially not in this manner.
iOS Jailbreaking is definitely a target on the Apple’s hit list, even though its legal status is not clearly defined. Still, many countries, including the western nations, tolerate it and that is why users employ it to work around the restrictions placed by the manufacturers and get the full level of the device’s usability, including the freedom to install any app they deem fit. The jailbreak of the iOS 9.2.1, developed by the group called TaiG was very effective and convenient for the users, which is why it became so popular in such a short amount of time.
According to the rumors, the iOS 9.3 jailbreak was under development just as Apple began removing support for their iOS 9.1 downgrade. iCrackUriDevice, a YouTube user who is a part of the Jailbreaking community left a clue about the coming update but included no possible release dates for it. But, important news sources publicized that there will be no iOS jailbreak update, at least not after the company presents its iOS10. There was a release of the iOS 9.1 but it failed to leave any big impression thanks to the fact that the majority of the users already moved their devices to a newer version of the OS.
Now, all the hopes are pinned to the fact that the iOS Jailbreaking groups will launch their tools when the iOS 10 becomes available. There is a need for caution because a launch that is pushed too soon will allow Apple enough time to disable it. That is why many believe that groups like the well-known Pangu will have to delay their releases of the iOS 9.3 for a period of time, most likely several weeks.
But, there is some news about developers who have been employing a jailbreak and its exploits ever since the beta version of the iOS 9.3. A developer by the name of Luca Todesco supposedly successfully pulled off a jailbreak of the fifth beta version but did not release it.
The last jailbreak was released more than half a year ago, covering the 9.0 and the 9.0.2. As this happened in October 2015, the current time of the year is ideal for a new release and hopefully, it is no its way.
