iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus Comparison
The Official iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus have finally been revealed. Apple fans will only have to wait a few more days which may seem like weeks to some. Anyway, now the question remains which device should I buy? We are going to present the features of each device and hopefully afterwards you will be able to make a decision much easier.
Each device has a few differences so we can only speculate and take what Apple has told us during the Event to be truth. I’m sure theres going to be features we won’t see until the device is in our hands. That’s Apple’s way of keeping folks always wanting more.
iPhone 6/6 Plus Display
The biggest difference between the devices is physical sizes of course. The iPhone 6 has 4.7 inch display weigh 13334 by 750 pixels with a pixel density of 326.
The iPhone 6 Plus has the much anticipated 1080p display with a size of 1920 by 1080 pixels. This give the iPhone 6 Plus a pixel density of 401 pixels per inch. This give the iPhone 6 Plus the Retina HD name. So look for it to be referred to as the iPhone 6 Retina HD. I prefer the shortcut way i6+RHD. Can you guess what that stands for? iPhone 6/6 Plus Camera
This could definitely be one of the reasons many users upgrade each new iPhone release. The mobile camera has almost replaced the need to have other cameras for most users. The awesome 8mp camera offers more than enough picture quality for every day users for birthdays and Christmas. These cameras do a magnificent job taking photos of all kinds and video too.
The new iPhone 6 will have an updated 8 mp camera lens on the rear with 1.5 pixels and f/2.2 aperture. The new iPhone 6 comes with autofocus and focus pixels added. This is an upgrade from the iPhone 5S. Both Cameras have dual-LED flash.
Face Detection has been updated for both iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Both cameras include Burst mode, Timer, Auto HDR, and more features on the rear facing cameras.
The front facing camera hasn’t changed a great deal. However, it does offer 1.2 mp just as the iPhone 5C/5S. The only change in the front facing camera is the Aperture adjusted from f/2.4 to f/2.2. Users may also enjoy the added burst mode and improved face detection to the front camera.
Video has improved too. We can finally get true HD at 1080p as opposed to 720p.
Both devices can record video in 1080p in 30 or 60 frames per second. However, Apple has added a couple new features for video recordings which aren’t available on the older models of the iPhone. The new feature is called Cinematic video stabilization and Continuous Autofocus video. This has been compared to the same feature on the Canon 70D. The Canon 70D takes superb video so I can’t wait to try the new iPhone 6 video.
iPhone 6/6 Plus Battery Life
The iPhone 6 has a much larger screen comported to the iPhone 5/5S so it only makes sense the battery life wouldn’t be as good. The iPhone 6 battery size is 1810 mAh and the iPhone 6 Plus has the larger batter at 2915 mAh.
