Today Pangu Team released a jailbreak for all devices running iOS 8 or iOS 8.1. However, earlier this morning it wasn’t possible to install Cydia with this jailbreak. However, as the day has progressed so has the ability to add Cydia to your iOS 8 device.
One of the problems the Pangu Team was having in order to get this Jailbreak completed with Cydia installed was Saurik hadn’t update Cydia for iOS 8 yet. Fortunately, I think that has changed and we can now install Cydia through SSH methods.
Keep in mind the jailbreak is still in its infancy and very buggy and unstable. Personally, I am going to wait until a few more bugs are hashed out and hopefully we can get Cydia installed during the jailbreak process. That’s when I plan to jailbreak. But if you are full of piss and vinegar and raring to jailbreak follow the instructions below.
Please share any tips or anything helpful below this post to help others in the community.
You should follow are prerequisites to jailbreaking justas always. 1. Make Backup 2. Install a fresh copy of iOS 8.1 3. Update to latest iTUNES version 4. Disable Passcode
Warning: Unless you are already knowledgeable on how to SSH and run root commands please wait. You can really get in a pickle……

You should see a screen like the one below. The application is written in Chinese, so you may see something with a loot of question marks, in the event your PC doesn’t have the proper fonts installed for Chinese language.

4. Uncheck the Checkbox on the left says “PP” and then click the big blue button. Thats the Jailbreak button.

The process will take around ten minutes or so. So be patient.
