Jailbreaking is the process of removing restrictions from your iOS devices. It allows the user access to the root system of the iOS device being Jailbroken. This system is used to gain access to all sections of the iOS devices code. Apple uses these restrictions to limit the amount of control you have to using your device.
Is Jailbreaking Harmful to My Device?
Jailbreaking is totally not harmful to your iOS device. However, there are some passwords such as the root access that will need to be changed in order to keep intruders from hacking your iOS device when you are in public wifi locations. Once this password has been changed it will be 100% secure.
Is Jailbreaking iLLegal?

Jailbreaking your device will add a new icon on your devices home page called Cydia. Cydia is an app store for tweaks.
