Zephyr was one of the most popular tweak on iOS 6 jailbreak devices which added multitasking gestures. However, till now it hasn’t been updated to support iOS 7 devices as well as 64-bit devices. We’ve got a good news for you. A Zephyr alternative has been released in Cydia that offers a similar functionality.
Called MultitaskingGestures, the tweak allows you to add multitasking gestures to your iOS 7 devices just like Zephyr. Once you install the tweak, you’ll be provided with a range of configurations to make via settings. This said, here’s how it works.
Swiping from the left side of the screen or the right side allows you to switch between apps. You might be wondering what will happen to the iOS 7 gesture that allows you to switch to the previous page. Don’t worry, to switch to the previous page or the next page, hold and swipe the left or right side of the screen to go back to the previous page or to the next page.
Swiping from the bottom of the screen will close the current app. This means that the Control Center will be replaced by MultitaskingGestures. Instead, the Control Center will replace the “Missed” tab in the notification center. So you can access the Control Center by sliding down from the top of your screen to open the notification center. You can also close the app by pinching with 3 fingers and access the app switcher by swiping up with 3 fingers. To check out the tweak in action, watch our video below.
MultitaskingGestures has been developed by HamzaSood and is available in Cydia for $1.5. The tweak works only on devices running iOS 7 excluding iPad.
