Most reports are claiming today’s special event will be focusing on the iPhone 6 4.7 inch, the bigger 5.5 inch iPhone 6, and the iWatch. Apple has been reportedly working on a new variant of its set top box for a long time, though the rumor mill has died down as of late regarding the Apple TV.

Dave Zatz from Zatznotfunny said on Twitter this morning that he has learned “several cable execs will be in attendance,” at Apple’s event today. Zatz suggests that the executives attendance can possibly point towards a new Apple TV unveiling. Apple has long been trying to work out deals with various cable companies to have a streaming options, and maybe have a direct connection with the Apple TV. Thus removing the requirement of a separate cable box. This new Apple TV may also debut with its own App Store.
Speaking of Apple TV, the company will be live-streaming its event via the Apple Events channel which should now be available on second and third-generation Apple TVs.
