Jailbroken iOS devices now have access to a couple of new Reachability tweaks available. Along with this availability, users can now download either ReachApp or Switchability on their jailbroken devices. This will allow the device owner to activate a multitasking/app switcher while he is using Reachability view on his device.
If you’re interested in either of these tweaks, it is good to know which one will work best on your jailbroken iOS device. Here is a short summary of what to expect from either of these Reachability apps:
ReachApp
ReachApp is currently on beta mode. But despite it, it is noteworthy to mention that the app has been able to run smoothly and not encounter too many issues with it. With the help of this tool, users can enjoy a split-screen where they can multitask on their iPhone. The last app that they have used will be available on the Reachability view. For this, they can easily gain access to it whenever they need to. Another plus side of ReachApp is that users can place their notification center on view instead of using it as an app. Additionally, there is an option to resize the Reachability view; if you are not too fond of its default size.
While ReachApp is free, it requires the beta repo in Cydia to be installed on the device before it can be used.
Switchability
Switchability is a new iOS 8 tweak that has been made available for jailbroken devices. Through this tool, multitasking app switcher is made available on Reachability. The good thing about using Switchability is that users can easily double tap on the home button so they can already view their multitasking switcher. This also appears as either a 3D/2D layout along with the app that was original running on the jailbroken device. Switchability comes with a reachability size slider, delete button, favorite app button, and many more. There is also an option to update new layouts and features according to the request of the user.
Switchability is available for only $1.99 in Cydia for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus devices running on the latest iOS 8 platform.
Despite being available on the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, Reachability is quite limited yet. A good option is to install ReachAll tweak from Cydia so older devices can use Reachability.
