We are still hoping to get the Yalu iOS 10 Jailbreak Gamma release in the near feature. However, while we are waiting for this release to occur hacker, and developer TihmStar has released a tool for downgrading called Prometheus. In order to use this tool users will need their shsh2 blobs. Blobs are parts of the firmware Apple uses to determine when you have downgraded or what version iOS you are currently running.

Until tihmStar released this new tool, Prometheus downgrading had sorta just been in limbo. In times past we used a tool called TinyUmbrella to downgrade and it wasn’t an issue. However, Apple has gone to great lengths to combat the jailbreaking. Community by stopping downgrading at any measure. Just when we thought all hope was gone timStar has created this great tool Prometheus which uses the shsh2 blobs to downgrade through a process I wouldn’t attempt to explain.
Follow the video instructions to save your blobs in just a couple minutes. You will need to connect your device to your computer and open iTunes in order to get this tool to work. So just follow these simple instructions.
How to Save ShSH2 Blobs for iOS 10
- Connect to iTunes
- Go to TSS Saver- 1 Conan
- Enter your ECID: The ECID is located on the summary page of iTunes
- Enter your device under Identifier on TSS Saver
- Click Save Blobs
- Save Blobs to Dropbox
They suggest saving blobs 3-5 times. Apparently, it saves something different each time and this could be important getting it to work in the future.
Be sure to save these blobs in a safe location and where you can remember they are located. This could be very crucial in keeping a jailbreak in the future.
