The new update with iOS 8 brought many wanted features but it also brought a few things users aren’t to happy to have added. One of them being the way Photos App functions now. It requires users to delete photos twice in order to permanently remove them. It also added a couple unnecessary categories such as “moments”.
Thankfully, the jailbreak community has the ability to develop tweaks which allows iOS users to bring back the way things were and remove these unwanted options. Cydia now has a tweak called Simpler Photos developed by Grandfather Paradox. It allows users to customize the Photo App to function the way the want it too by using the settings available for the tweak. Simpler Photo is available in BigBoss Repo for $0.99. Here is a list of some of the favorite things the tweak can do:
Features:
Hide the recently deleted album from the Photos application
Enable the ability to re-order photo collections in the Photos application
Configure the tabs at the bottom of the Photos application
Rename “Albums” in the application
Delete all photographs permanently without being sent to the recently deleted album
Hide the annoying Moments from the Photos application
