Volume+ is a recently released tweak that is very similar to other tweaks that changes your volume HUD. As usual, when listening to a music and when you want to adjust the volume level you are confronted with the same usual HUD which is boring and static. Volume+ adds some spice to your HUD.
As seen in the picture above, Volume+ adds more detail to Volume HUD. It displays the volume scrubber, the music controls, the song name and album artwork. It additional comes with 2 extra keys which are new message and camera button respectively.
It is important to note that in order to activate the functionality of Volume+, the music should be playing in the background. The volume scrubber feature offered by such tweak is very convenient because you can set the volume level anywhere you want by dragging it across the screen rather than repeatedly pressing the volume press. You can slide the music scrubber to fast forward or rewind the music to where you want it to be. Then you have the music controls for skipping and pausing the current song. The artwork presented is not there just for the sake of display but when tapped on it will navigate you to the music application that is playing the current song.
Additionally we have 2 sharing buttons – the new message and camera button. The message button allows you to share the current song you are listening. The camera button simple allows you to launch the camera application. The message button, camera button, and the album network can be hidden by simply swiping up or down the volume scrubber.
This tweak does not install any preference pane in the settings and requires no configuration. Volume+ offers a very simple and decent functionality that any user can learn and use it without any hassle. If you want to give it a try, head over to Cydia and install it. Volume+ is priced at $0.99.
